Polar FT4 Love IT!!
I previously purchased a cheaper HR montor watch from Walmart and it would only give me a reading about 1/3 of the time. I decided to invest in this Polar and I am so glad I did. So great how you just look at your watch and gives a constant readout, also I really like that it gives total calories burned after your workout. Just such a great quality watch. The watch is also very sleek and comfortable.

Polar FT4 Good heart rate monitor.
I bought this watch to replace my old Polar that was ruined in the pool. It works great as my heart rate monitor when I'm exercising (which is why I bought it). It says this watch is water resistant but it's NOT after you open it up. So don't try to swim with it if you've ever had the battery changed! Otherwise, great watch/heart rate monitor!

Polar FT4 Great Heart Rate Monitor.
This is a great heart rate monitor - I use it at least 4x a week and it works perfectly. It took me a long time to get a good one that actually picked up my heart rate. Great basic monitor - all you need (HR and calories).

Polar FT4 Heart Rate Monitor Excellent Product!!
Product was easy to use, but no directions are in the box. However, it was easy to figure out. Can be worn exercising or with casual wear.

Amazon never disappoints me! For one you always seem to have what I'm looking for, and you've always delivered as promised and on time. I was looking for an accurate HRM and found on in this Polar FT4. It keeps track of my heart rate, lets me know when I'm in or out of zone, and tells me how many calories I've burned. The coded heart strap is great - not bulky and you forget that you even have it on. I wear the HRM to work and use the watch all night long. I was looking for a very general HRM and this one provides me with everything that I wanted, so if you're not looking for a training computer then this just might be he HRM for you!

Polar FT4 Best Buy, The Best Monitor EVER!
Researched extensively prior to purchase, read reviews for dozens of different monitors on various sites and it was pretty unanimous, the most accurate and depenable is the chest strap POLAR monitors. This was my first heart rate monitor so I was looking for something simple and basic and this one fit the bill perfectly. Only cost around $50, does everything I need, heart rate, time, calories burned, duration to maximize my workout. It has really helped not only tracking my data, but also I find that I am working harder to keep my heart rate in the zone so it has motivated me as well. Lost two pounds the first week and I was at a plateau for MONTHS. Chest strap is comfortable, wristband is perforated for the entire length so will fit virtually any wrist. I bought the ladies model in the bronze and it is more of a tan. Works great everytime, easy to program your personal info and operate. Just sorry I didn't get this years ago. Very pleased.

I got this, so that I could calculate my activity points on weight watchers. It is great. I stands up in spinning class, and in boot camp. I can see my heart rate, and work to keep it in a zone. The watch beeps if I am too high or too low. At the end I have the calories burned, and I can go back later to see the stored data of the workout, if I forget. It does what it says, and I can't ask for much more!
I was originally looking for one without the chest strap. Thought it would be nice if I could just have the watch. Now that I have this one (with a strap) I think any that are just a watch are probably not as accurate. I read a lot of reviews before I purchased and that is what they implied. I believe it.
A facebook friend recommended Polar as the brand to buy. I can see why so far!

I have now returned 2 SportLine watches. Too complicated...one broke. I have only used this watch for 2 days, but I Love it. Was super easy to set up and use. I would highly recommend it. I can read the heart rate display
without any glasses and my instructor can see it easily. Great watch.

I've been using this heart rate watch for about a year now. Not as advanced as some models, but tells me what I need to know: heart rate, average heart rate, max heart rate, calories burned and whether I'm within my fitness limits. Plus it saves this data (up to 10 days) when I'm too tired/lazy to input it into my logs right away.
The watch is much lighter than the other HRM watches I own (which require touch; no strap). The info is easy to read without my glasses, even underwater (its waterproof to 80 ft). Touch watch to the chest monitor and it briefly switches to the time display.
The strap is soft, and sits just underneath the bra strap line. It's more flexible than a regular belt, and can be folded to be put into a pocket. I'm using the same size strap as I lost weight from a size 20W to a size 4.The strap should (must) be washed, or at least rinsed, after each use; I usually wash mine in the shower after workouts and let it hang to dry.
Another great feature is that the watch and monitor have serviceable batteries. Just buy a replacement watch battery from your local store.
For some people, the color of the women's FT4 (not FT4F) can be a turnoff. My watch strap was more "translucent beige" than "bronze", but I got it on sale, and it was classified as a "personal item" (because of the included body strap), so no returns. I took a colored Sharpie to the outer watch strap, and now I'm more than happy with my purchase!
